1.25" and 2" eyepieces and camera adapters

Hi Icers,

i just want to know what the pro's and cons (i am guessing only cons) of using a 1.25" eyepiece and DSLR adapter as opposed to a 2". am i going to get a visible black ring around my photos? is there any noticeable difference for eyepieces? i am using a cropped DSLR sensor (600D) if that makes a difference.

Thanks for the help.

Aidan

Depends on what you will do.
For planetary photography, 1.25" is large enough, particularly with a crop sensor.
