Testing out my techniques in HA with the DSLR...nice easy target in the Swan/Omega neb M17.

20 x 5 minute exposures ISO1600 with Baader HA filter.

Canon DSLR On LX200R 10" FL 2500mm F10

You know the rest.

Thanks Houghy,

It's nice to still be able to image when their's a full moon out.
Again I have to thank Scott who was doing HA imaging with his DSLR that gave me the idea to give it a go myself.

Great shot Tony! There is just something about monochrome images that makes shots look more real. Nice one.



BTW Angela contacted me the other day asking about what she could get you for xmas, astronomically wise. I just pointed her in the direction of OPT and gave her Rayna's email

hahaha Paul,

I know that's not true because I buy my own present...that way I get a lot lot more.....lol

Thanks Eric.....I even forgot to refocus as I started on the west side and then slewd to this target way over on the easy side of the meridian and realized after about 45 minutes of imaging I forgot to refocus....I'm happy it stayed in focus...hehehe
