Canon Camera Cooler Box (Geoptik)

With the various threads running here concerning builds of devices to cool DSLRs, I was wondering if anyone had investigated this production Canon cooler box (seemingly one of the few on the market at the moment).
The
Geoptik Thermoelectroc cooling box for Canon EOS cameras

I saw this on the Cloudy Nights forum and am posting the link below.

At 197 euros (about $276 AUD) plus shipping, it maybe more expensive than DIY solutions but if it works, and is an integrated device it could be worth the investment. My one concern is the weight (at 1kg), but maybe that's not out of line compared to DIY solutions. Sadly it looks like Liveview is not able to be used with this device.

Hah ! it's either a copy or maybe the original designer has gone commercial with his idea. This design was linked into the thread a while ago. It still only acheives a cool temp outside the camera body, inside at the sensor there is still no control and minimal effect. The magnesium bodied Canons ( ie the expensive ones ) seem to work better in that environment but the normal well protected plastic bodied models not so good as our experiments have proven so far.
