AR 1944 5TH Jan

Another look at AR1944.
The last image is from my PST Mod 150mm stopped down to 90mm using a 90mm SolarMax filter to make it a DS system.
Also the White light image I posted yesterday now appears in Sky and Telescope in the US.

Top stuff Ralph, congrats on the S&T publication, I was very surprised not to see your amazing image on Spaceweather when I looked yesterday.

Cheers

Nice images well done......

When it comes to imaging the sun should I use my EQ6 or just a camera tripod.?
I'm concerned what effect the sun might have on the eq6 when directly exposed to sunlight and heat of the day.

Hi Marios,
Use the EQ6 man the sun won't hurt it.
