Arvo Storms

These storms are still going up here so hopefully others will have some pics also.Thes are from around 5.30 this arvo and I used the HDR function in Picasa to accentuate the clouds.
Cheers Derek

Derek,

Those clouds look stunning!

Up here in Brisbane we had some decent storms go through as well. Here's an HDR image (+2,0,-2 bracketed exposures) of one cell as it approached our place...

Cheers,
Mario

We missed the worst of it. The storm did pass us in three waves with the second round delivering some close lightning strikes. This photo was taken just after the first cloud mass passed.

Stu Mario seems these cells went all the way up to Hervey Bay.Bob that shot is with a Sigma 10mm Fisheye with a Kenko1.4extender on the 6D.the edges are slightly cropped. At f 4. I just focus with live view and snap away.It gives a bit more view than the 17- 40 which I used in the other 2 pics.

Thanx Reply Derek, The advantages of a full frame censor I gather now, Thats an awefully nice wide FOV .
All the best for late next week-end, Sun-Mon, some instability about on GFS charts, a bit way out yet, though
