There is so many to choose from. I use Lunar Map HD. You can choose the map source image, set the size of the features to be labelled, flip the orientation as required.

good moon map

YEs, that's what I mean, such a choice!
But I looked at Lunar map HD and it looks promising. Will probably try it later.
Cheers

Isn't there anything that shows the actual view depending on the phase? All this does is show the whole face with a line to indicate the terminator.

Sky Safari does but it's not the same as a dedicated Moon map. You can select and track the Moon but I have not been able to get it to select and track a specific feature of the Moon.

A map download LRO WAC HI-RES (best) greyscale, is listed in Lunar Map HD for android. It is unlikely it will be included in the original download, only as an extra download option. It is a 36mb file. More than enough resolution for most of us, and as stated you can set the orientation for any scope. You can magnify using pinch action to give hi-res views of any object. Brilliant app, not available for iphone i hear.

mobile observatory has a scaleable moon and a 3d moon showing current phase, but isn't a moon map as such.
