I dont believe it - its another M42 - 29/12/2013

rarely imaged from the doghouse - -this is the last time i will be using the Celestron Nightscape one shot CCD in the doghouse. Managed to grab an hours work (20x3min) before i got a few on eta then went onto the nova in centaurus - and that southerly then stopped the photon party. better than nothing

Beautiful Dave !
Lovely colours mate, I reckon we have similar styles in processing.

Great to see a fresh DSO from the doghouse.

thanks Mike - i think the OSC CCD will always have it over a DSLR for colour as the colour is made bland by oversaturating it in the DSLR

i was surprised as well, light pollution and a short 3 min sub. maybe i could have gone for longer but the gradients of the light pollution may have killed it?
