Gob Smacked

I've just come in ( heavy clouds rolling in now from the East ) ) from viewing M42 / M45 / and Jupiter with my Takahashi 60CB using the Denkmeier BinoViewers ....and I am so impressed with this little TAK.

M42 and M45 are a joy to view......but what really ' gob smacked ' me was the visual image I got of Jupiter ....without doubt the brightest / clearest and sharpest view I have ever seen....bands stand right out....3 moons are pinpoint dots...even a sense of colour to.

My eyepieces were 2 x TeleVue 14mm Delos ( Bino's ) and had them at full magnification on the ' Power Switch ' ...... just amazing
I fear my new NA140 is going to have a back seat for a while...although I had it out also....M42 Nebula was ' smokey grey ' spreading out like wings......and M45 ( Pleiades ) a hint of Nebulosity could be seen in a TMB 40mm Orthoscopic Super Wide Eyepiece.

I was jumping from 1 Scope to the other.....but the little TAK was getting more attention this time.

Pity about the clouds rolling in....and the bright Moon is starting to ' wash ' things out also.

There's always tomorrow night.........

Col...........
