Hi. I was lucky enough to grab my first A320-232 Airbus transit yesterday evening (6/12/13-20:20)
Stats:-
Jetstar A320-232 Airbus
Registration VH-VQJ
ADL-->MEL
500D/SWED80/NEQ6PRO-Lunar tracking rate.
Exp 1/1000, ISO-800.
Image has been cropped.
Smart A.. Another great transit shot, your certainly in the right spot for them, wish we had a greater range of aircraft transiting... Was thinking of going to Parafield to try get one one day....
Thanks Justin. It was moving quite fast ( some appear to be traveling faster than others) and I wasn't sure 1/1000 would be fast enough to freeze the plane.
Also it appeared lower than some of the others I have shot.
Cheers Dennis. I enjoy these transits. They all seem to be different.

Thanks Darren. Yeah the trails are awesome. Sometimes I can see craters in them as the light is reflected ( although it could be my imagination)

Haha thanks. Sometimes smart doesn't cut it Andrew luck still plays a large part. There have been many occasions were they all missed... Many occasions lol

Thanks Dutch. Yeah even at 1/1000 he Moon still looks great.
Steve, catch is fantastic, no doubt about it, but (for me) the huge watermark right across the centre is a nonsense ..
Thanks Ian.
Many others would probably agree with you and in an ideal world, i too would like to.
However, after finding one of my transit images on someone's website/blog (purely by accident) with no credit, no permission AND my watermark that was in the bottom right corner cropped out, I watermark my transit images across the middle now.
Maybe I am being too idealistic, but i would have thought a little bit of courtesy goes a long way for those that like to "borrow" images.
