Tak60cb

My first 'TAK ' Scope .... the TAK60CB with a Feather Touch Focuser.

Build is nothing but superb...Optics is incredibly sharp.... Fluorite Doublet.

All the eyepieces I tested from TMB40mm Orthoscopic...Delos 17mm, Delos 14mm, TeleVue Pan's.... down to Tak 7.5mm ( lowest focal eyepiece I have )...all came to focus with room to spare on each eyepiece....thanks to the Feather Touch Focuser with the longer Draw tube.

At the moment it sits on a Vixen/TeleVue Alt/Az Hybrid Mount......very smooth movement to.

This will complement my new NA140 very nicely.....and both are keepers.

Nice scope, Flash! I use mine for guiding. Is that heresy?

Rick, I'm a heretic like you (only when the STL can't guide through the filters of the main scope).

I don't understand this fascination with Takahashi scopes Col, they're just another scope are they not?

Hi Col, great scopes, I agree. I have one in transit but with the standard Tak focuser. Did you order the Feathertouch yourself or did you buy it with the scope? And one more question if I may - the interface between the scope and the focuser - is that a Tak accessory or part of the Feathertouch?

Focuser and Scope

I am a Tak owner but I must say, it looks very funny if the focuser-EP combination outsizes the scope....
Just imagine putting a Nagler 31m on the end
I almost smile whenever I have my Delos at the end of my short Sky90, in these moments I must make sure the dewshield is fully extended to add some size to the scope...
