Merry Christmas

Hi Everyone,

from my last imaging session on Monday this week for the new moon. I thought the Christmas tree cluster would be fitting for this time of year

Viewing was a bit poor with high levels of humidity and some high level clouds so it is a bit soft but still looks good I think.

Cheers

Hi Jo,

Thanks for the feedback, I was pretty chuffed with it considering the conditions and a problem I had with the mount (I will post about that later in the EQ8 has arrived thread), The image was taken on the following equipment:
  • EQ8 Mount
  • GSO RC8 (Fully standard no mods or upgrades)
  • Guided with a WO Zenith Star 70 and a Loadstar Guide Camera
  • Camera is a Central DS 600D (modded / cooled Canon Camera no thermal control however).
Oh and this was about 2.5 hours data (Flats and Bias frames but no dark frames as I ran out of night time and the temp difference was too much on the camera once the daylight hours kicked in)

Cheers

Anthony
