remember my straw propulsion theory?
just kidding

rip the glass outta a barlow and it becomes an extention tube...

its all about getting more image scale with zero ($0) budget.

Was gonna send you one, but it is an immaculate perfect TAL Barlow. Too good to be pulled apart. I thought you may be after one to use as a Barlow.

And no good saying that you won't rip it apart now, coz you already dobbed yourself in

Ving if you get flooded with too many 1.25" barlows, I have a use for one myself (but it does require a lens)

i have mike's old 2.4x barlow i am happy to give away BUT i have already tried to get the lens out without success. This was my first attempt at an extension tube for the 5x powermate.

In the end, Mike and I both got plastic extension tubes from Roger at Bintel Melbourne, they were throw away barlows from memory. I would check with them Vingo.

Let me know if you still want the 2.4x (I have tried everything to get the damn lens out) or I will send to Geoff if he still requires it

David,

Send Vingo the 2.4X barlow and he can use that with the glass in. He can then rip the glass out of his 2X GSO barlow and use that as the extension tube. The GSO is pretty crappy anyway

The other option is to buy the TAL barlow real cheap off ken and rip the glass outta the GSO

If at first you dont succeed - Ive got an old Meade 2x in pretty good condition probably better than the GSO.

PM your address if you would like me to send it to you.

Chris.
