Seller's remorse?

Have noticed a few classified ads lately where I've thought; hang on, that guy bought one of them before! (no names, you know who you are ).

Made me wonder how often we buy something, sell it after a while but then buy the same thing again at a later date.

I recently bought a William Optics ZenithStar 66, but I had owned one of them about 7 years ago. No idea why I sold it!

There have been a number of eyepieces I've sold and then tried to buy again (24mm Panoptic, 36mm Hyperion) and the only reason I didn't is that I bought something similar but different (22mm Panoptic, 40mm Paragon).

Anyone else go through cycles of buying & selling the same gear???

Yes,Morton-seen that before one chap I know owned a VC200,sold it then later on bought another new one.

I've sold various gear-(non astronomy stuff-only to re buy very similar kit).
Always a PITA when you sell something and then find you should not have.

I am sure there are many here Morton that have done this circle.

Did you end up selling the FS 102 Lewis??

One of the astronomers up here over 'new moon nights' was very keen on it
think he was going to call in on way home and pick it up.

Yep....done that ....went full circle on the NA140.

I had one ....original owner from up North just had to have it back....( don't blame him either )......did a deal ....only took 7 days or so ...ahhhhh...should have kept it....sooooooo...
I have a brand new one arriving very shortly.....~ a week or so from now....Custom boy's have it at the moment.....trying it out on the Tarmac at Sydney Airport....

There will have to be a darn good reason for me to let it go this time.

It didn't matter how many times I used this Scope....it was ' WOW ' every time

Wait till you look through one of these NA140's.......then you'll understand..!!

I've done the 24 Pan thing a couple of times.

Flash......

Yep guilty of this also, has an 8" f6 dob, sold it and bought another now looking for an 8" F4... Sold a few things only to purchase again, sometimes the same item, sometimes a little different but similar. :/
