Jupiter from Italy

Hi guys, long time not even in this forum, in this period I changed my setup for planetary imaging, with the new telescope I think I enlarge my field of research, in particular methane and near-infrared band in the near future.
for the moment still working in RGB.
This is the best picture of three months acquisitions, currently the autumn period in Europe is not conducive to high resolution for reason of inclement weather, this is bad luck with the planet more than 60° degrees altitude .

Image RGB 6 min WJ derot. 120sec each channel through NortheK Dall-Kirkham 14" and PLA Mx camera to 40 fps.

(for some reason the image is corrupted with compression)

I hope to come back soon with new images in this forum.

cheers Andrea : La pioggia:

Nice,

I have forgotten what Jupiter looks like through my C14. I have not imaged it for nearly 2 years now. Tooo low. Enjoy it while you can. Soon it will be heading south again.

I really like the processing Andrea.
The natural colour rendering and subtle use of sharpening is consistent with professionally published images... ie)

sometimes less is more.

best
