Rosetta nebula

After being holed up in hotel room for 2 nights due to total fire ban (I know, I know), I eventually got under the stars to image the Rosetta nebula.
I didn't get the fainter bits of nebulosity, probably because I an Ha filter for the lum. The night was fairly clear but a little bit cirrusy at times, but you take what you can get in this game!

Nick, that is extremely vibrant and has a lot of impact. Maybe a bit too contrasty for my taste but very crisp.

Thanks Brett for your feed back. Yeah I was going heavy with the luminosity layer in photoshop - I do like to light up my objects - comes down to one's taste I guess. Maybe the Ha has given it a contrasty feel?

Hi Nick,

The fire ban rule can be a pain, especially when the skies are so finicky down south. It's tough, that when the time does come that the sky is clear, you are banned from the site because of the total fire ban! OMG!

It's a rule there for our safety, especially when we are so desperate, we may just over look the danger of being there.

It's a good effort Nick. You may just need a night to capture some luminance data. It's great we can just keep adding to what we already have.

Thanks Steve, adding more data is a great suggestion. As it stands, image would not be described as subtle! More data would extend the nebulosity out some more.
