Comet ISON 15th Nov, Brisbane

OK, that cloud finally went away and I managed to revisit ISON this morning for the first time since 9th November. Got as shock as it was so much brighter. Here it is 100% crop, 16x30sec exposures, f/4, 200mm, ISO6400 stacked in Registax, Canon EOS 600D on a Vixen Polarie.

Easily visible in binoculars.

I think it will get alot brighter and imaging opportunities get better even for twilight.

Also attached is a comparison with the 9th at the same image scale, which is quite telling. I will be chasing this for as long as possible

Thanks Kevin - I do hope it clears up for you. I was lucky in the breaks here.

The faint smudge to lower left is mag 9.2 galaxy NGC4697

Great picture!
I got up just before sunrise to see the stars out this morning and I thought to myself - Dammit, missed out hehe...
