Rosette in Narrow Band

Hello,

This is my shot on Rosette in bi-color mapping.

My main interest is to show the dark nebulae and Bok Globules presents in Rosette, so that to have a better contrast of these structures, I decided to image Rosette in Narrow Band , using Ha and O3 filters.
The final image is not as smooth as normally Rosette is presented but shows the type of structures I was focused on.

The full resolution image is here

Image:
9x900sec Ha bin 1x1
12x900sec O3 bin 1x1
Scope: TMB 92 f/5.5
Focal Reducer Flattener Teleview TRF 2008: x0.8
OAG: SBIG OAG-8300
Camera: ST8300
CCD Guider: Lodestar

Pre and Pos-Processing: PixInsight
Bias, Darks and Flats applied

Thanks for looking,

Fernando

Thanks for the thumbs up Ray.

My Ha filter is 6nm and the O3 and SII are 12nm.

Best Regards,

Fernando

Lovely. I notice you're using almost the same gear as me - TMB92SS and I have the QSI583ws (same sensor as you). I tried the TRF2008 but couldn't get round stars in the corners, but notice you have. I suspected with my setup it was the spacing between flattener and sensor. Out of interest, what do you have between the 2?

Troy,
Thanks for the kind comment.
My camera is a ST8300M equiped with a filter's wheel model FW8-8300 from SBIG and a OAG also from SBIG model OAG-8300. The total back focus of this setup including the camera, is 57mm, so that I have included a 2mm ring spacer to make 59mm, that I concluded empirically as the optimum spacing between the TRF2008 and the sensor.
Even being at the optimum distance, I didn't achieve round stars in the corners, where they are a little bit elongated so, I could not escape of cropping the image a bit to get rid off those elongated stars.

Best Regards,

Fernando

Hi, thanks for the kind comment. The full resolution image can be seen on the link below:

Note that there is a combo box on the upper right corner called "View" where you can click on the little arrow and select "Full Resolution".
