With really good polar alignment you can get away with out guiding for shorter subs of around 1 or 2 mins. If you can get your polar alignment good enough to get 2 mind subs with out any star trails your off an running.

hi sandy..i spent about 2 hours the next night on alignment...was a bit cloudy ...but got some multi exposures of the moon ...I have heaps to learn...looking at getting a laptop and guiderscope ..and also a permanent set up sight away from the town lights .....
