Sculptor Galaxy

Had a clear night in melbourne wednesday night so finally got the scope.

This is 1hr 30min of 2min subs guided, stacked with maxim dl them post processed in nebulousity and CS5. Darks/flats/bias added.
Using Saxon ED100, HEQ5 pro, Orion Starshoot v2 Colour ccd.

Im not overly inpressed with the colour but will have another play when i get the chance.

There's some nice detail in there as well as round stars, well done.
perhaps a bit black clipped, you could try moving the black point to get out some more detail. but looks very good for a suburban shot.
did you use an LP filter?

Thanks Alistair, na don't have a LP filter its on the to get list which is getting longer and longer lol.

Nice job Paula, great detail in the galaxy. You did well to get this much detail from Melb without an LP filter.
