Fireball in Gove NT

It pays to spend as much time outdoors as you can ! Last night while sharing a few reds and good conversation with friends on the verandah I saw the best fireball I have seen in Months.
Heading pretty much east to west the green fireball covered probably 40 degrees of Arc across the sky and at is peak shone at an estimated Mag -4
before extinguishing about 10Deg above the horizon.
It was visible long enough to be able to say "Look Meteor !" and have my guests turn round and see it, so I would estimate duration 3 to 4 seconds

Sweet , the best one I ever seen was night shift out at Conoco Philips DLNG plant Darwin 4,30am .

Must be something about the NT Brian. The best one I ever saw was looking northwest over the Arafura sea from Gove peninsula. Bright green, plunging to the ocean and bursting into orange flames 5Deg above the horizon ..... With witnesses !

Last autumn, saw a fast moving red fireball very briefly.
I was outside, enjoying the cool air and observing he night sky with my naked eyes, when this glowing red fireball whizzed by, very, very fast. It was gone before you could say, 'Wow, what was that!'.
It was traveling also roughly east to west at a declination of 15 degs. Must have been far away, as I could not perceived any sound from the object. This was the very first one that I saw and it was just an incredible sight!
