map holder is completed !!!

Wow....here's yet another one of my little inventions !!!!...It's a map holder that rotates a full 360 degrees, so that as the sky rotates I can just rotate the map to match the sky as I am looking at it through my RACI finder. Then when I zero in to starhop some more , I just rotate the map again to match the view in my eyepiece.!!!...I think i hear the word COPYRIGHT ...(lol)....I made one of these when I had my ORION 12.5" DEEP SPACE EXPLORER and I remembered how convenient it was to use , so I've made another one !!!....clear skies to all !!!

Excellent Idea Mark. It's amazing the stuff us amateurs keep inventing!

Forget about Speaker Magnets for counterweights, you've got enough doo-dads on there to need the whole stereo system.

But I wouldn't like to try putting the Herald-Bobroff on it! L.
I have a rotating H-B holder on my modified Ironing board, but that looks very handy indeed.

I was thinking the same thing about the Deluxe version of Sky Atlas 2000. It's huge. I'm going to have to get the field version.

well starkler...even if i were to bump it NOTHING would happen because the thing is bolted on so tight that it wont even budge !!!...(lol)....also, I'm putting a light above the mapholder to illuminate the maps...plus the darn thing is so out of the way I wouldnt be bumping into it....I'm always aware of NOT having to BUMP into stuff on the scope because i know for a fact that things can get out of alignment when doing so. WOW Ken !!!...now if I can just cut a few holes in the middle of the tube I could install a few speakers and a sub-woofer. Then I'll have me a boombox scope with it's very own VIBRATION !!!..just think of those multiple blurry views of Saturn ...HAHAHAHAHAHA
