Saturday Sun Oct 12

Its been a long time between successful imaging runs for me. Here's my efforts from yesterday. After resolving some comms issues and a failed USB hub, I've obviously overlooked a resolution setting In IC Capture on the new lappy so all these images are 1/2 size to what I usually do. You get that when you're out of practice.

But it was good to successfully capture some solage again.

Hi Al

Lovely detail in the close ups of the proms, very nice indeed.

The 1st all-disc shot looks like an oblate spheroid?

Cheers

Thanks Dennis.

Hmmm. Oblate spheroid... I haven't looked at it yet on my other PC, I just uploaded direct from the lappy - I just thought it was the screen on the lappy, but obviusly there must be another setting I've missed in IC Capture I'd say. More sorting to do for my next session...

PS. I've just had a play and all I can see is that I was using a DV Codec, rather than uncompressed. Too cloudy here to check with another image of the sun, but normal terrestrial scenes look OK. I'll have to watch that when I get my next chance.

Yeah I know, Dave. Its been that long , its a learning curve all over again!

I think I was just so excited to get it all working again that I forgot the basics.
