Orion Neb

M42 I dropped from 5min to 4 min subs so as to not burn out the core. 30 subs in total. With darks, flats and bias.

Brilliant Brett love it.

Nice wide FOV, very sharp stars, and good amount of dust showing.

What scope and camera was this taken with?

Great shot Brett. Its cruel the first object many of us want shoot is one of the most difficult to process and present. Processing not overdone either. Looks like the 132 is working out nicely for you.

Looking Good Brett, as Rick suggested a few shorter subs will help bring out the trapezium

Thanks all for the feedback. I am not sure what the "trapezium" is. I will have to look it up but I am guessing it is a brightish feature I have blown out during my capture or processing.

Yes Rob I am happy with my gear, I need to improve my guiding so I can do longer subs I think but on the whole everything is coming along well and I am pleased with my results given I have only been at it for a few months.

I owe much to people who have helped me learn things including numerous people on this forum. There is no way I could have got going so quickly without their assistance.

I have just about processed all my data from the last new moon. Looking forward to the next one

Jo, shot taken with equipment as per my signature line including the flattener/reducer.

Cheers

Brett
