Hi Everyone,

A little image I took while waiting for my actual target to rise (don't ask why I didn't post that it didn't work out).

This was taken with the GSO RC8 and CDS-600D but guiding was not very good on the EQ6.

Anyway a bit noisy as no flats, bias or darks and only 60 minutes exposure total. I hope you enjoy as wasn't all bad.

Cheers

Hi Anthony,

That's very good for 60 minutes.
Just needs minor tweaking on the focus. Baht mask will definitely help if not used.

with guiding on the EQ6, i've learnt the hard way that the PA needs to be very close and then the guiding just sings along effortlessly.
Also, Pulse guiding without the ST4 seems to work better in 3 of the EQ6's i've tested. marked improvement in guiding. somehow it seems more responsive than ST4.

Cheers
Alistair

Thanks Alistair,

I will keep that in mind next time I am out RE Guiding. Seeing was pretty bad so all the images I took were average by comparison and I found I had the secondary fogged up for a lot of my images oh well live and learn.

Cheers

Nice image, darks and flats will make a big difference along with some nice crisp focusing. keep up the great work.
