Which 130mm apo refractor?

Hi, I will soon become an amateur astronomer in australia, I will be migrating with my australian girlfriend in November and I be able to enjoy the night sky once again, because unfortunately in Italy the sky has become too luminous and there is no comparision with the australian dark sky.

I'm looking for a new telescope and I've seen the Long Perng 126mm f/7 (http://www.andrewscom.com.au/site-section-10.htm). It looks very good, expecially for the glasses used (FPL 53) but I did't find any test or review on the web.

does Someone have this telescope? I've seen it only in Australia.
Do you know about its quality or crhomatism correction?

If you are considering astro-photography the rear correction elements might be worth going for. Plus this scope seems to have more mounting hardware with it.

What sort of budget are you planning? Also what type of images - widefield? In which case FSQ106ED type of scope works best.

TOA130 would be top of the range as is TEC140.

APM have some APO ED doublets that are quite large and "inexpensive".

A TEC140 is a popular choice. Superb optics and size is just right for many applications both visual and imaging.

It's amazing how similar the Esprit scopes are to my Vixen DED108SS - except the DED precedes the Esprits by almost 20 years.

Pretty much comes down to how much you want to spend on it and what you intend to do with it - photo? visual?
Don't forget the mount matters most for imaging.
You could look at the explore scientific triplet 127mm maybe?
