Exclamation Coming up soon... Takahashi EM-200 mount

I will soon sell my Takahashi EM-200 mount with Powerflex MTS3-SDI controller.

The mount is for sale once my new mount arrives, I guess in about 2-3 weeks time. But as it is quiet an investment I thought I give you all the details beforehand so that you can decide if you are interested or not and still have enough time to organize you finances.

I will take some pictures of the mount next time I use it (if the rain ever stops that is).

Here are the most important specifics on the mount:

Mount weight: 15kg + Counterweight
Load capacity: 16kg for photographic use 20kg for visual use
Polar axis finder: Polar axis finder scope with alignment pattern for northern and southern hemisphere good until 2030, built in illuminator and built in bubble level
Periodic worm shaft error: less than +/-5”

Here are the specifics on the Powerflex MTS3-SDI controller:
* Supply voltage from 10 to 28 volts
* Acceleration and deceleration with 8 selectable ramps
* Sidereal, solar and lunar tracking speeds are switchable
* Correction speeds are selectable from 1.0 to 2.0 times (1.0 = terrestrial mode)
* Periodical error compensation function for RA (PEC), remains stored after switching OFF (can be disabled)
* Backlash compensation for the DE gearing
* Compact size 100 * 50 * 25 mm (blue anodized CNC-Aluminium box)
* Long-life keys, switches and connectors
* Warning function for under voltage (battery is empty soon!)
* Interfaces in series for:
  • PC (RS-232)
  • CCD-autoguider (ST-4,ST-7,Pictor and others)
  • External LC-Display (not included)

* Can be updated to new software versions without exchanging the microcontroller: Simply download the new software through the RS-232-interface (no opening of the box neccessary). You get the new versions and the DOS/Windows-programming software from our website or on floppy disk.
* Software updates are free (this concernes potential bug-fixes, function improvements and extensions, connection of digital setting circles) with exception of a object catalogue function for automatic GOTO (price: 75,00 EUR)

For more information have a look here:

As for the price I thought about $4000 but I will consider any offers!

Any questions?
