EQ8, 60Da and Tak Epsilon 180 ED on order

I've got these three items on order and should arrive shortly.

From what I've read the EQ8 is not bad, so let's see what it can do once its installed a perm. pier.

I'll use ASCOM's EQMOD with SKY X Pro and either Nebulosity 3 or Astro Astro 5 for the camera.

This latest mount and scope will now give me 4 mounts and scopes to work all independently in a robotic setup, as well as the 12"f15 C/Cass I use for L & P imaging.

I'm also setting up an Astro B&B which will include 14"SCT's and CCD cams as well as a 16 bed accom.

Will report back with a review and pic of this new mount and scope.

cheers,

James

Morton,

I'm hoping to have the facility open by end of next year. I know it's a way off, but these things take time.. and money! lol... I will have 3 Meade 14" GPS LX200 fastars running each with a CCD under the control of TSX Pro or some other program.

When these three along with a C14 fastar on a Titan 50 mount, a 12" F4 on a Paramount GT1100 and an Epsilon 180Ed on the EQ8 all equipped with CCD's or Canon 60Da's, will be accessible via the Internet. Users then will be able to work those scopes/cameras via their browser using the free, dc3 dreams ACP's Planner, which then connects to the scopes/mounts running ACP at my end.

My skies are Mv6.5 and just a 3 hour drive NW of Brisbane. I live not far from Kingaroy and the Bunya Mts. I'm sure it will be popular for those who wants to chill back and enjoy the nights skies as I do.

James
