The Milky Way 21 hours 55 mins Repro

Update: I toned down the colour a bit to be more accurate on good feedback from Paul Haese.

This project took some time to accumulate the data. I took probably more like 40 hours and 18 was rejected for one reason or another (clouds, trees showing in the image etc).

FLI Proline 16803, Nikon 50mm F1.8G at about F5.6. Piggybacked on my CDK17 with MMOAG and SBIG STi guider so its been autoguided at 3 metres focal length!

Its a 3 panel mosaic:

Looking better and better Greg. Unfortunately I can't see the large version. It just sits there and doesn't download.

Cheers

Great project. Terrific colours. What's your image scale? For sure you could upload a much bigger version up close?

Well..?..wow? .....

Excellent result Greg, congratulations you even have a plane flying through there on the right side

It is sure high contrast and quite firmly saturated... so it may not look quite as good up close but I too would love to see the larger version of the full colour version.
