The Helix Nebula.

It has taken me a while to get the data for this. 6 hours luminance at 1x1 binning (10 minute subs)and 1 hour of each RGB 2x2 binning (5 minute subs) using a QHY-9 mono at -20c.

Telescope is W/O Flt 110 with flats and darks applied. As always I am still working on my processing skills.

Nice deep exposure and the colours are good. You can make out the second bubble and the outer filaments.

How do you find the QHY9? I'm looking at a QHY camera to replace my old DSI as my main imager.

Hi Justin. Thanks for the comments. I have only ever used a QHY-9 mono and have had no issues with it. The help from Theo (Gamma Electronics) who sell them has always been very good. I have to clean the sensor every now and them as I sometimes get a little ice build up but that is no big deal.
