Skywatcher AZ-EQ6 Mount

Hi,

I'm new to this forum. I was hoping to get some advice.
I have a Meade LX90 10inch which I mainly use for Astrophotgraphy I dont have a wedge, However, I was contemplating in getting one until I heard about the Skywatcher AZ-EQ6 Mount.

I was looking at replacing the fork mount with a Skywatcher AZ-EQ6 Mount so I can image deep sky objects at longer exposures. But im not sure if this would be a good a idea.

Any advice Would be appreciated thank You.

Deforking your existing OTA would be an excellent idea. The AZ-EQ6 should not have any trouble handing it. You're going to need a Losmandy "D" size OTA dovetail for your OTA. Either that or some tube rings and a dovetail.
