Venus (RGB+UV) and Saturn 2013-08-31 - Jetstreamed

After a glorious sunny day here in Adelaide, I was looking forward to another Venus UV imaging opportunity. At sunset, the seeing was quite stable, but unfortunately the jetstream just won't die down. According to the BOM map, it was running at 80-100 kts.

Anyway, since I had the scope out I grabbed some Saturn video as well.

Despite the layer of fuzz on everything, I'm pleased I got another image in the Venus sequence.

Well done Ivan! I am yet to have a go at Venus. A quick look at the jet stream situation dissuaded me from taking the scope out. You are right, it was such a great day here in Adelaide today.

Excellent results Ivan, lovely subtle cloud detail with Venus and a most respectable Saturn.

Cheers Eric. Looks like there may be a little relief in the jetstream for us on Monday or Tuesday evening. Here's hoping for some early evening cloud free sky.

Thanks Trevor. These cameras really are very good. Certainly can't complain when they produce results like this in "poor" conditions!
