Venus setting + one

Two more shots from my trip to Gunnedah Last month.

The first shot, of Venus setting was taken between Gunnedah and Boggabri on Friday 23 Aug at 6:53pm just before the end of astronomical twilight.
The second shot was taken on my first night out practicing with the camera, Sunday 18/8 at 10:40pm, a top of Gunnedah's Porcupine look out with the moon around 90% and high in the sky. A very windy night too. I think this shot may have been better taken a little later, with the Milkyway a touch lower, filling the sky between the trees ... Noted for next time.

Both with Canon 6D + Samyang 14mm @ F2.8 25 sec. Venus shot @ 6400 ISO and second shot at ISO 800.

Processed in Lightroom and Photoshop

I like them both. The first one has some great colours in it.

Greg.
