Hi folks.
I have not posted here for ages, but would like to share an image that is both a composite and a collaborative effort.
You will remember last week that Greg Bradley posted an Ha image of a portion of the Milky Way. Well, just prior to that I had finished my first light with the Canon 5D MKIII and the 24-70mm lens and thought it a good idea to approach Greg to see if the images could be combined, especially as my 5D is unmodded.
Here is the result:

So, the composite is as follows:
Milky Way Colour - Canon 5D MKIII at ISO2500. 24-70mm lens at 35mm, and f5.6.
15 x 3 minute exposures.
Milky Way Ha - FLI Proline 16803, Nikon 50mm F1.8G lens set at about F5.6, 5nm Astrodn filter, 2 hours.
Rho Ophiuchi - SBIG STF8300 and Canon 50mm f1.2 lens at f4.5. LRGB 180:90:90:90 minutes.
Image is 75% of the original and 6mb d/l.
hope you like it.
Cheers
Martin and Greg.
