ToUcam problem

Had a few problems using the ToUcam last night.

We got Jupiter on the laptop screen and ticked white balance on and left it for 30 seconds, as recommended.

But when we ticked white balance off to get it to "freeze" the image goes blue

How do we stop this from happening?

We got around the problem last night by setting auto white balance in the ToUcam camera settings and then opening WcCtrl and selecting white balance freeze.

One side effect of this was the first avi we then captured using K3CCDTools froze on the screen while the program continued to capture in the background.

Any help much appreciated.

Anyone else experience this?

Yep, all the time when using the 840K. 25% of the time with the 900nc. I ended up not bothering with the ticking & unticking of the white balance.

The last time the 900nc did it (2 nights ago) I ended up moving all sliders like gain & gamma up & down several times & the repositioned them & it came good.

No idea what causes it!

Matt - not something I've experienced with the 900nc, but I used to get a random orange tint with the Neximage that I could usually shake off the same way that Asi describes. I don't bother with white balance ticking/unticking, I leave it off.

cheers,
