Not the Cat's Paw and surrounds

I've been testing out the FSQ106 with the Bellerophon focuser on the Cat's Paw and surrounding region.

I have a way to go with Pixinsight but I'm loving the Dark Structure Enhance tool. It was also challenging to bring out the gold in the stellar background - I know Louie has a tutorial for this in PS but in PI it was more trial an error for me. If the PI gurus have any tips, I'd love to hear them.

About 5.5 hours L and 2.3 hours each RGB. Imaged with STL11000 on FSQ106N.

I'll post a few close ups shortly.

Pete

Here's a close up of the (Not the) Cat's Paw itself.

Pete,

I hate to break it to you but that's not the Cat's Paw You've got M8, M20 and NGC6559 + associated objects.

Looks pretty good, though! Try playing with "H" in the CurvesTransformation if you want to tweak colours. The ColorSaturation process may be useful too.

Cheers,
Rick.

The original pic has blown bits, but the close up is pretty cool, top work.

Thanks Fred

Its only when I really push into multiple hours of exposure that I realise how difficult it is to image from suburbia.
