Venus and Moon in broad daylight

Taken just a few minutes ago at 200mm on a Canon EOS 600D on auto.

Worth a look!

Thanks for the reminder Tom! Here's the view at 2pm (also @ 200mm).

If you haven't seen Venus in daylight with your naked eyes, get out and have a look now. It's easy to spot just a bit below and west of the Moon.

Good one mate. Did this quite a few times a few years ago. Good fun! Your mission now though, is to capture a reasonable sized disc at lunch time!

we saw this at astrofest from the best vantage point on the field at about 11 am - brilliant view
