If the problem relates to keys not working very well and you have to press hard on them to work, then the issue might be that the buttons are losing their contact with the connection points. There is a product you can get that you can recoat the contacts with. Not sure what it's called, but it's like a graphite paste greyish in colour that brushes on and fixes the issue. I did it with my autostar. Try calling the scope shops to see if they have any. Sorry I can't remember what it's called.
