scope tube material

Looking for some cardboard form tubing to put a eight inch f/6 newt together. Minium would be 1200mm but 1300mm would be a better length. Anyone in the Brisbane to Gold Coast area who can help me, please send a p.m. Thanks.

Still waiting for anyone with tube sugestions. Is the formatube ok? Reading about it online, it is lined inside with some oily substance. They sell it in 255mm id tubing. Need to buy three meter length though.

Formatube is fine. There are lots of dobs around with this type of tube. The inside glossy layer just peels off.

3 metres is the standard length. Sometimes you can buy an off cut.

Another option is to make your own square or hexagonal or octagonal tube to of thin ply.

For a dob the tube doesn't need to rotate so need really for a round one.
