Unknown Nebula & Little Gem Planetary Nebula (NGC6818) with DSI II

Hi Guys sick of me yet? (last objects seriously ),

The unknown nebula was actually my first image coming out of the DSI II i recalled. I was looking around for ETA Keyhole and came across this object near it. If anyone can help me identify this object would be much appreciated. 15 x 84 second exposure stacked.

The other object is the Little Gem planetary nebula. Abit waste of effort just a green dot so i only took an 84 second exposure of it

Comments welcome good/bad.

Hi Eric, the nebula is NGC 3324 I believe, and nice images as usual, need to take a closer look at the planetary, but I wanted to get in early for once
cheers,
Doug

Hi Eric

You certainly have that DSI 11 humming along nicely, good shots.

That planetary, Little Gem, would be NGC 6445, According the StarAtlas Pro is Mag 13, pretty bright, pretty small, resolvable. No wonder it didn't look interesting.

Good work

JohnG

EDIT: I will have to stand corrected, there are actually 2 PN in Sgr called Little Gem, Star Atlas Pro only lists NGC 6445 by that name, the other is actually NGC 6818, near Barnards Galaxy, information from Deepsky Astronomy Software. My apologies.

SOME INFO: The new PRO-AM DVD version of STAR AtlasPRO (available soon) lists both of the Little Gem PN in Sgr, and includes more than 550 popular names of other deep sky objects too!
