Trip planned!

My little holiday is all planned and booked. I will be going to Ballarat for a couple of days.

Earlier this year I started a thread asking where abouts in Victoria there are clear skies and very little light pollution. Now that I have a location locked in and booked can anyone recommend me any good viewing areas around Ballarat?

I hope I get an answer straight away unlike in my initial thread when there were some individuals who did not answer anything, cracked jokes or some who didn't understand me.

Thanks

I am hoping the weather will be alright. I've only been to Ballarat around 2 times so not very familiar with the surroundings.

Crap, according to the weather it's goin to reach 0 and rain on Saturday night but that isn't for sure.

Hi Stefan

There is a nice little app for the iPhone called Dark Sky Finder that you might find useful in finding somewhere 'close by' in Ballarat with dark skies.

What days are we talking about? This coming Saturday?
The Snake Valley clubrooms are usually open on the Friday night of the new moon, so the next one is August 9th. Location and Kens contacts are here http://ballaratman.wix.com/svaa#!contact
