Just looked thru my first telescope in about 18 months and I think I burnt an image of the moon on my eye.
Picked up a stop gap scope for $50 a Celestron Powerseeker 127 and mount, nothing special but I have rekindled "the bug".
The mount needed a bit of fixing, a few screws and a lot of araldite but it still works and will do until I get my real scope.
Haha, I made the mistake of looking at the last full Super moon through my 12" Dob with a 30mm 2" EP and had a similiar experience - eye burn! I had a headache for hours. Have to get some filters, or get out the sun glasses.
My eye is still hurting and a bit blurry. I should have known better I do have filters for this sort of thing but they are packed away will have to find the out
