2nd dream scope

After a long long desire for a Maksutov-Newtonian, I today concluded a deal on an Orion f/5.3 MN190 :-D Absolutely wrapt with the scope - 6" apo performance for a lot less. A magnificent astrograph, and no diffraction spikes and a flat field (not requiring an FF)

What is your other dream scope?

Heard very good things about them. They're quite heavy though, arent they?

OOOH yeah - 12kg OTA!!! I think the Chinese reverse engineered it EXACTLY, right down to the over-built features typical of Russian stuff. I think you could roll a tank over the OTA's steel tube!
