Omega Centauri

Hi All, I had heaps of trouble with DSS but I finally got it. I dont think its quite the right colours, but I kind of like it. It came out strange from DSS so I couldn't quite get it back to the golden colours. Anyway it was 41*20 second exposures, used darks and bias frames.

Any advice and critics welcome.

Cheers,
Jake

The core looks like it was pasted in, with odd radial blurring at various points. Some field rotation going on as well....makes me think it was not taken using an equatorial mount. Alt-Az perhaps

Stick with it

Yeah, I struggled with the editing in this one, and I didnt spend enough time on it either. DSS frustrated me and I rushed through the photoshop stage. You are correct about the Alt-Az mount (Celestron CPC) I think I may need a wedge...or an auto-guider... or maybe both Time to save. Thanks for the feedback.

Cheers,
Jake

Or field de-rotator.. guider will not help here.
But, wedge is a better solution.. or EQ platform, then you don't need de-rotator, and then the guider does make sense.
