The big bad wolf - work in progress

Your secret is out Paul! I replaced my next project with your discovery because I liked it so much. Here is 5 hours of Ha on your pet that I took last night!

Not a lot of processing done. I cropped it for composition purposes.

Thanks Mike! Bet there are a few other gems like this lurking in the Milky Way somewhere just waiting to be "discovered" through some long exposures.

Very nice Marcus. What a great object and how strange it hasn't been identified sooner. Paul has definitely done the imaging community a great service and I can see this one showing up at future DM awards.

Cheers

Steve

That looks amazing Marcus, great resolution you've managed there.
Paul has really handed us a gem here. I guess we'll all be imaging this soon lol

Just one request Marcus, don't enter in the Malins next year with your version. I sort of was hoping to enter that myself.

Nice job so far. The STL has produced nice data, as well as the extra aperture too, making for higher signal to noise.

Many thanks Peter. I'd get onto that wide field RH view if I were you!

Thanks Steve! Yes, surprised no-one else saw the shape before - it is a bit obscure though - no images of it other than what Paul has done.

Cheers Rolf! And you gave it a good name too - the "Fenrir" Nebula! That drawing you shared in Paul's Ha post was uncanny.

Thanks Paul. Yes, it needs a fair bit of exposure to do it justice even with my extra aperture.

As far as the DMs go, chances are there will be 10 entries of the same object next year! Don't worry, my opportunities to finish mine before it goes out of season are fairly limited (given weather, work and moon).
