This RoboFocus was purchased to install on the Rack & Pinion used on the Takahashi FSQ85 and FSQ106 (possibly others but I'm not sure about that). In this configuration, the focuser is mounted directly onto the focus shaft, after removing one wheel knob. Takahashi has standardized with an 8mm diameter shaft on both the 2.7 inch and 4 inch focuser. A small brass coupler (with a built in "clutch" on the motor side), attaches the motor directly to this shaft, and is held into place with two set screws on each end. The system comes with a "Takahashi Bracket". Other brackets are available from Technical Innovations for different scopes.
New these will cost about US$525 landed, so I hope A$400 does not seem too much to ask.
