AR 1785 July 6

Hi,

Here is my image of AR 1785 and the surrounding area taken this morning. Unfortunately, seeing was not that great but still lots of detail visually.

Thanks for looking.

Hi Ralph,

Taken with my Lunt 60mm scope with x2 Barlow and imaging source DBK camera. Composite of 6 panels.

Full disc image uploaded. Prominences were a bit inconspicuous so did not image them.

Thanks for looking.

Nice one Richard. Looks like poorer seeing caused some quality variance in a few of your panels for the mosaic. How many frames did you do per panel? Good FD. I presume you used the DSLR rather than the DBK for the FD?

Hi Ted,

Thanks. The panels vary from about 600 to 800 frames.

The full disc is also a mosaic of 10 panels taken with the DBK taken at prime focus. I tend to take some extra panels to compensate for the variation in illumination you get sometimes. Nothing worse than having one or two panels you cant blend in to get the full disc. Unfortunately the seeing was not good. I hope it is better next time.

regards,

Richard.
