First DSO with Edge C11

Taken from downtown Kuala Lumpur with SQM :17.43 as measured by this method. Moon appearing on the horizon and clouds appearing.

M16

Camera : canon 60D modded
Filter : IDAS LPS clip on front filter
Telescope; Edge C11
Mount : NJP Temma 2
AutoGuide : QHY5+ 50mm guide scope + PHD
Exposure : 12X 3.5 minutes
Darks : 6 numbers
Flats : none
Bias : none
ISO :2000

Usually with my other refractors I take the flats using the iPad3 and the Apps Flash Light. Just turn ON the light bulb and place the iPad to cover the front of the dew shield,
But the C11 is to big for the iPad. Any suggestions?

C&C welcome.

Cheers

Aziz

Congrates on 1st light with the C11 Aziz.

You could try using the sky at dusk or dawn to take your flats. Many do, I use a light box.

Nice image plenty of detail.

Cheers

Well done on your first image Aziz

For flats I plugged my laptop into my LCD tv , then opened up a blank full screen white document and pointed the C11 at the screen.

I always stuff up sky flats but that's just me
