TDF 2013 - Great Result

Great result for the Aussie GreenEdge team last night. Winning by 1 sec in the Team Time Trial and putting Simon Guerrens in Yellow.

It was an exciting race and a great outcome. Unfortunately Froome got a bit of a jump on our Cadel.
I love watching the TDF too but it doesn't mix very well with astronomy. I should be out there making the most of a beautiful clear night but I'm too damn tired.

Have really only gotten into cycling this year - but am loving the TDF. I'm on a few days off, so I've been watching a fair bit of it so far.

It really doubles as a tourism advert for France - when ever the riding is a bit boring, the TV chopper gains some altitude and shoots the amazing scenery. The coastline of Corsica was incredible.

I was a bit disappointed to see such limited press coverage of an Australian getting the yellow jersey - didn't appear on the top stories for news.com or abc.net today. Cycling certainly isn't "unpopular" in Australia - lots of weekend warriors.

I went out with my riding group at 5.30 this am. The Tour has certainly inspired my mates. They damn near killed me this morning

Great work to win a stage and the yellow jersey as well
