A hole in the sky - would it be good seeing?

just looking at the real time data for the area near me i noticed a "window" to the west of me - I was wondering would this be a perfect area for solar viewing its calm with wind 0-4km/h where as near me its a tad more than that. i note too that all the hot air is being funnelled to Adelaide and Melbourne . Hey sheeny you should have great viewing conditions pretty soon - how about some solar work

More like the NSA have noticed a lot of credit card activity from one particular house in your street.

What a cool animation! Bookmarked.

All I need, Dave, is a gap in the clouds to coincide with a bit of free time. The wind window is currently coinciding with a gap in the jetstream, so the seeing should be very good here ATM. SkippySky suggesting 8! I normally don't image the sun in the arvo due to thermals, but maybe its worth a try after work tomorrow if the sky is clear...

We certainly noted the lack of breeze at work today. It's most unusual to have a warm sunny still day in Oberg.

Al.

Now that's a great site.
Would the most relevant data be that of the Jetstream at 250hPa?
