Windows upgrade

Hi All,

Just a quick question, I am thinking of upgrading the software on my observatory pc from Windows XP 32bit to Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. (I want to maximize all of the extra ram etc)

Does PHD, MaximDL and EQMod play nicely on 64bit?? or should I stick to 32bit?

Many thanks in return.

Paul

Get a handle on windows easy transfer. It will move all your xp junk to the win7 pig using an external usb disk. Takes a while but everything comes back the way it was. Except for installed applications. You have to reinstall them.

Also avoid win8 like the plauge.

Thanks Chris...answered my question.
Robin, you are a godsend, I never thought of this Easytransfer! Should make the transition a whole lot smoother.

Thanks all again.

Just an update,
Win 7 64bit is installed, all other software is installed and all bits of hardware are playing nicely. (from a testing point of view)

Thanks to all.
